This was one of my favorite emails to send out when I first got started in real estate. After COVID, a lot of the late-night and especially the 24-hour spots that used to be open either disappeared or quietly cut their hours.

I'm happy to report we're starting to see a recovery and a return to normalcy.

So here's where I'd actually go for food around midnight or later in Arlington:

Still open 24 hours, the real survivors:

Bob & Edith's Diner , the Columbia Pike original since 1970 and a second location on 23rd Street.

Kabob Palace , S Eads Street in Crystal City. Afghan and Pakistani kabobs, over 30 years strong, the late-night institution.

RollPlay Viet Food in Rosslyn, 24-hour pho and rolls and a rare all-night option on the north side.

IHOP in Ballston.

And yes, there's a 24-hour Subway on Columbia Pike if you're in a pinch.

Open late, just not all night:

Big Tony's Pizzeria & Dive Bar , Clarendon. Pizza and a dive bar vibe until 3am Thursday through Saturday.

Ragtime in Courthouse, Cajun bar and grill until 2am every night.

Wood and Iron in Virginia Square, 1:30am every night.

Silver Diner in Ballston. It used to be the 24-hour staple, now it closes at 1am on Fridays.

Courthouse Kabob open until 11pm on weekdays and later on weekends.
